The Housing Company of Antioquia VIVA, is the  Industrial Company's and Commercial of the Department, is in charge to promoting a integral policy on popular housing in Antioquia VIVA, unites and manages contributions  of the nations, departments, NGOs and private institutions and the community to execution of massive projects

For the implementation of massive construction projects and improving housing, providing, The Housing Corporation Antioquia-VIVA-was created by the Departmental Assembly of Antioquia, by Order 034 of 28 December 2001 and emerged as the strategy to carry out the program "Employment and Housing" as part of the Development Plan, the Goverment of Antioquia,

Reduce the housing deficit popular quantitatively andqualitatively, to remove it, working as a company that serves the community well, on time and with affection.

VIVA, will be a leader in reducing the housing deficit, bringing together and encouraging all actors working for the same purpose.

Social housing

Talk of a Policy of Social Housing is not just about building houses. A real housing policy should include deeper themes and concepts generates habitat construction, which in its simplest concept is defined as the living environment in a population or species and where appropriate conditions are met so that it can live and perpetuate their presence.

During 2008 and 2009, the Housing Corporation Antioquia, VIVA, entity responsible for promoting and developing housing policy in the Deparment of Antioquia has directed all its efforts on building and strengthening of synergies that have enabled manage and allocate resources to co-finance the construction and improvement decent housing for scarce resources people of Antioquia.

Sample this, are the results for these 2 years has been awarded the Housing Corporation VIVA Antioquia, which has managed in partnership with the municipalities, the national government and nongovernmental entities,

co-finance the construction and improvement of 64,205 housing solutions; achieving in reducing under principles of equity, sustainability and accessibility the quantitative and qualitative deficit of housing in urban and rural communities of the Department.

At the beginning of the administration (Antioquia for all. Hands On) which leads the Governor Luis Alfredo Ramos Botero, the Housing Corporation in Antioquia VIVA-head of its General Manager Jorge León Sánchez Mesa proposed co-finance the construction and improvement of 120 thousand solutions of Housing
and it raised a strategy to build and consolidate a policy of sustainable Social Housing and suitable to each region, coordinated with the development plans of the 125 municipalities of Antioquia, where several players have been participated  with their contributions.
